Jean Batten was a famous aviator (pilot) who was born in Rotorua, New Zealand in 1909. She was the first person to fly solo from England to New Zealand - amazing!
Amelia Earhart was an American aviator. She was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, from Canada to Northern Ireland. Amelia Earhart tried to fly right around the world. Unfortunately, she disappeared in the Pacific Ocean and was never found.

WEEK 1 D1
SETTING SAIL! LIST ITEMS TO GO ON THE BOAT/ NO FRIDGE OR FREEZER
I think Donald Trumps idea is not good because it will take years to make he would have to get heaps of people and it will have to be tall and nothing is big enough to reach as high as he wants it not that I know how high its going to be.
If I was hired to be the principle at a school I would get all the kids from the school into the art cuboard and get anything the go to a desk and do some art and expire ME!!! I would also get the teachers to do some exercising for 30 minutes. THEN I WOULD RELAX
GOOD:You can play against people.
BAD:You would probably get crowded by people
GOOD:You can tell all your Friends to play against them and say it all by magic
BAD:you will have to have space for you chess board and if you have heaps you will need room.
ON THE SLJ I WAS TOLD TO DO THIS ACTIVITY WHERE I HAD TO BE GARRY THE BEST CHESS PLAYER SO I DID IT AND WE HAD TO DO 2 GOOD AND BAD THINGS ABOUT BEING GARRY.
I think woman should get the same amount of money as men do for rugby because women can do the same as men and because no one should get left out if men get more money they can just give the women more to make it the same
My Amazing Kiwi Collage On Monday Mrs Minehan came. We had to make a kiwi collage.
We had to go onto google drawings then go onto explore and type up brown textures. Once we found the one we wanted we had to click on the plus to get it onto the drawing. Next we had to click the arrow beside the crop button then we had to get the circle for the body of the kiwi. Once the brown texture turned into a circle we had to copy and paste it for the head. When we had done that we got to do the beak and legs. For the beak and legs we had to go back on explore and type up yellow textures then click the plus button three times. For the beak we done a triangle, we had to make the triangle very narrow and small. Then make the legs square then we made the square a small rectangle.
Last we put all the bits together to make a kiwi. We also got to do a background and I did a forest background.
A couple weeks ago the school got together and then we all coloured in one or more triangles with warm or cold colours This is what warm and cold colours are:
warm:red,orange,yellow,pink
Cold:green,blue, purple
After we choose the group of colours we got pastels of our colour then started to colour them in and we also had a chose to use oil and blend them but I didn't,once we have coloured them in we had to bring them to Mrs Dodds then she glued them on to a big black paper and this is the what it looks like in the right top corner
Today we found an accredited image on Explore and selected it to use on our page. We then put a 5x5 grid on it so we could copy the image and make it original. Mrs Minehan selected the first two images so we could understand the process, then we got to choose our own image.
I found the first one challenging
The second one was easier because there was a shape the looked like tree leaves
I chose the image of a tree because it looked easier
Have you ever tried to transform an image using a grid? How did you find the process? The other one was a koru.
I have been learning how to make patterns with shapes and I've learned more shapes in geometry. I think we are learning this because the teacher wants us to know more shapes and how to do patterns.I enjoy this because i get to know more shapes and patterns. I found it challenging to get the right shape.
I love google Spreadsheets.
How to make graphs on to a google spreadsheets
First I but my data into the boxes there was 2 columns that were on slid 3 of the slideshow.
